Daisy pendant – a classic piece of jewelry with a loving story

A daisy pendant is not just any piece of jewelry. Because it is a piece of jewelry that comes from a love story. The first piece of jewelry with the daisy was a daisy brooch. It consisted of 238 brilliant-cut diamonds and 444 rose stones and was made by jeweler Carlsen in Stockholm. Crown Princess Ingrid was given this as a gift by her father in May 1935 when she married Frederik of Denmark and Iceland as a memory of her mother, whose nickname was “Daisy” – the English word for daisy.

Not long after Queen Margrethe's birth in 1940, several jewelers in Denmark chose to produce daisy series, which also became popular among the Danish population. Daisy jewelry is still popular today.

Therefore, when you give a daisy pendant as a gift or buy one for yourself, you are passing on a large and important part of Danish history. The fact that it is also a flower that goes really well as jewelry is just another plus and reason to buy a daisy pendant.
